My name is Shaydin Peddie a Durham College alumni. I am a gaffer, filmmaker and photographer. Through my studies, I have  learned to improve production quality through lighting. I have experience with various types of lighting which include corporate, low light, product and dramatic.   

 

I have worked in different teams, both with students and clients. I have learned how essential teamwork is in all aspects of production. I put my needs second and the production's first.

 

I am also a writer, who brings my creations to life. I write short stories and short narratives and produce my own work. Writing is just one medium to which I can portray a story. In this day and age, technology is developing fast and older forms of it are becoming less and less popular. I believe that books are a timeless form of entertainment and will most likely always be. 

 

I wish to improve the way I can portray a story. The Internet has made content easily accessible to view and share in almost any location. Movies and videos are among two of the most popular forms of content that are viewed on the Internet. I intend to master proper, and modern forms of communication to reach my audiences. I've learned that I can do that by using the right types of camera compositions and techniques, as well as the most beneficial music and sound effects. I recognize that there are many forms of communications and how effective it is to use more than one.
